Test Environment 

All tests are to be conducted between ASDC’s UAT Cumulus instance and PREFIRE’s UAT environment. 

Pre Test Checklist for PREFIRE

  • Provide ASDC with valid SDTP certificate and key
  • Provide ASDC with valid SDTP server URL and tag stream

Pre Test Checklist for ASDC

  • Cumulus is deployed with valid SDTP certificate, key, URL, and tag stream
  • All orderable PREFIRE collections have been created in LARC_CLOUD provider in UAT MMT
  • All PREFIRE collections and rules have been created in Cumulus
  • The ASDC Tester must be on LARC VPN or Earthdata VPN and have
    • access to asdc-app-cumulus-uat project
    • access to esdis-asdc-dr-uat project
    • access to Cumulus Dashboard
    • has an Earthdata Search UAT account

General Information

Each orderable granule should have a .nc file and a matching .cmr.json file. The .nc file is science data file, the .cmr.json file is metadata file.

Each non-orderable granule should have one file.

Orderable granules are available to download from Earthdata Search. Non-orderable granules are not.

Test Cases

Test Case 1: 

To verify that ASDC can retrieve data from SDTP server with valid key and certificate.

Test Case 2: 

To verify that ASDC can ingest/archive and back up orderable data.

Test Case 3:

To verify that ASDC can ingest/archive and back up non-orderable data.

Test Case 4:

To verify that orderable data is downloadable from Earthdata Search UAT.

Test Case 5:

To verify that ASDC can recover data from backup.

Test Case 6:

To verify that ASDC can not retrieve data from SDTP server with invalid (or expired) key and cert.

Test Case 7:

To verify that ASDC can not retrieve data with invalid tag stream and reports proper error.

Test Case 8:

To verify that ASDC report proper error messages when SDTP server is down.
