The Face-to-Face LANCE User Working Group is being hosted by the NRL in Monterey California fro March 31 - April 1, 2020. As it is a secure facility, participants will need to complete a visitors form ahead of the meeting.
The deadlines for submitting NRL visit request forms are:
US Citizens: 3-5 days out
Foreign Nationals (or dual citizens): 30 days.
Foreign Government: takes longer, if there is anyone in this category.
NRL employees: do not have to submit
Please let LANCE know if you plan to attend using the registration form.
The Naval Research Laboratory will host the meeting at their campus in Monterey. To enter the facilities you will need to fill out the NRL Visit Request Form ahead of the meeting.
The deadlines for submitting NRL visit request forms are:
US Citizens: 3-5 days out
Foreign Nationals (or dual citizens): 30 days.
Foreign Government: takes longer, if there is anyone in this category.
Purpose of visit: “NASA LANCE User Working Group meeting hosted at NRLMRY”
Authorizing official: Someone from the visitor’s organization. Visit requests to NRLMRY must be signed by someone from the visitor’s organization indicating they are aware of the visit. The general guidance is “whoever has to sign to authorize your travel should sign your visit request.” The intention is that the visitor will get the form signed by their direct supervisor, indicating that the organization has authorized the visit. When dealing with non-military organizations, it is not always obvious who should sign the form. In some cases like solo contractors, the traveler has signed that part themselves, but that is not encouraged.
Degree of Access Required: UNCLASSIFIED
The form should be submitted by Fax or vis Safe Access File Exchange (SAFE) - as outlined on the top of the form. If you have any problems sending the form via fax or SAFE, please contact diane.e.trakas@nasa.gov and selene.r.annadale@nasa.gov and they should be able to assist.
We have a courtesy rate of $161 (excluding taxes) at the Intercontinental The Clement Monterey Hotel, 750 Cannery Row, Monterey, CA 93940
The cut-off date for reservations is March 20, 2020. Any reservations received after the cut-off date will be taken on a space available basis and the government rate will no longer be guaranteed.
You can also call the Group Reservations line at1-888-666-5734mention the Group’s name or the group code “NAA” and they would be happy to assist.
