The LANCE system is responsible for generating and distributing near real-time data products for a number of instruments on the EOS Terra, Aqua and Aura missions with a high degree of reliability. In particular the LANCE system involves a number of elements: MODIS, AIRS, MLS and OMI instrument data. All Level 1 and 2 data products are distributed within 3 hours of observation.

LANCE User Working Group (UWG)

LANCE is reviewed and supported by a User Working Group (UWG) that meets at least once per year to review the status of LANCE operations and development activities and to provide guidance concerning future upgrades suggested by the user communities and the LANCE elements. The UWG is chaired by Professor Chris Justice, Chair of the Geography Department at the University of Maryland. 

The next UWG Meeting is scheduled for May 1st 2013
