How Do I Apply Keyword Changes to Records?

  • Once a keyword version is released, users can access the KMS API (http://gcmdservices.gsfc.nasa.gov/kms/capabilities?format=html) to retrieve the most recent version of the keywords. For keyword modifications, the UUID of the keyword will not change. For keyword additions, a new UUID will be generated.

  • Users can also apply the keyword changes via the docBUILDER and MMT metadata authoring tools that use the new versions of the keywords in the keyword pick-list.

  • GCMD can also provide a mapping between the old version of the keywords and the new versions of the keywords.
