This is useful for HDF4/netCDF-3 that GDAL /viss3 cannot handle efficiently.
This is also useful for avoiding the transfer of a large file (e.g., Terra Fusion) from DAACs to S3.
- User provides product short name, date range, dataset name, and subset parameter.
- CMR returns a list of matching granule names.
- Workflow lambda generates the list of OPeNDAP URLs and put NcML files into S3 bucket.
The list file will be fed to OPeNDAP to GeoTIFF conversion workflow.
