Background      

The LANCE User Working Group (UWG) is responsible for providing guidance and recommendations concerning a broad range of topics related to the LANCE system, capabilities, and services. 

Purpose and Objectives

This meeting provides an opportunity to review LANCE progress, discuss key issues and identify topics that require more attention. The UWG will be asked to provide guidance on the process for getting applications products in to LANCE and asked to consider the potential utility of NRT LIS and MOPITT.

Logistics

The LANCE UWG meeting will be held on day one of the NASA Workshop to Develop a Portfolio of Low Latency Datasets for Time-Sensitive Applications, which runs from 27-29 September 2016. The UWG discussion will take place during the breakout group on day 1. This is scheduled to start at 2pm. 2:00pm – 2:20pm:  Lightening talks on instruments being considered as enhancements to LANCE. These will be part of the plenary workshop.

2:30pm – 5.00pm:       LANCE UWG Discussion
