    Initial SO2 injection estimated by S. Carn (Tweeter) using S5P at 0.025 Tg. 

    HIMAWARI-8 cloud top temperature near -80C indicate that the plume probably reached tropopause altitude

    AIRS retrievals for UTLS (assumes ~16 km height).  Amounts are quite low ~<0.03 Tg (SO2)

      Thanks Fred. It sounds like the eruption has been quasi non-stop since Dec 22nd.

      Any ideas of cumulative SO2 emissions ?
