This is useful for legacy HDF4/netCDF-3 that GDAL /viss3 cannot handle efficiently.

This is also useful for avoiding the transfer of a large file (e.g., Terra Fusion) from DAACs to S3.

  1. User provides product short name, date range, dataset name, and subset parameter.
  2. CMR returns a list of matching granule names.
  3. Workflow lambda generates the list of OPeNDAP URLs and put NcML files into S3 bucket.


The list file will be fed to OPeNDAP to GeoTIFF conversion workflow.
