This is a discussion area about data systems standards, conventions, and best practices relevant to the Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS). This includes formal standards such as those produced by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) as well as informal standards that have been developed elsewhere or within EOSDIS.
You are invited to use this forum to ask questions, submit comments, discuss trade-offs, and track the status of ESO approved standards as well as to make suggestions for new standards to be considered for inclusion into the approved standards list.
