The Metadata Evolution for NASA Data Systems (MENDS) Project has recommended that the Earth Science Data and Information System adopt the ISO Metadata standards for NASA data and products. This adoption process will require conventions for how these standards are implemented and may require extensions to the standards. These conventions and extensions will be developed and explained on this wiki.
