Where are Geographic Extents used in CMR metadata?

The EX_Extent object is used for describing geographic extents in ISO meadata.  The EX_Extent object provides several options for describing geographic extents; which include Bounding Box, Bounding Polygon, Geographic Desciptions and Spatial Temporal Extents.
