Element Description

The PGE Version Class element ...element stores basic descriptive characteristics related to the Product Generation Executable associated with a granule.

Best Practices

There are two sub-elements that comprise the PGE Version Class:

PGE Name: Name of product generation executable.
PGE Version: Version of the product generation executable that produced the granule.

Examples:

PGE Name: "A PGE Name"

PGE Version: "6.0.27"

Metadata Validation and QA/QC

All metadata entering the CMR goes through the below process to ensure metadata quality requirements are met. All records undergo CMR validation before entering the system. The process of QA/QC is slightly different for NASA and non-NASA data providers. Non-NASA providers include interagency and international data providers and are referred to as the International Directory Network (IDN).
