Once a keyword version is released, users can access the KMS API (http://gcmdservices.gsfc.nasa.gov/kms/capabilities?format=html) to retrieve the most recent version of the keywords. For keyword modifications, the UUID of the keyword will not change. For keyword additions, a new UUID will be generated. Users can also apply the keyword changes via the docBUILDER and MMT metadata authoring tools that use the new versions of the keywords in the keyword pick-list. - GCMD can also provide a mapping between the old version of the keyword and the new versions of the keyword.
