Element Description

A description of what changes were included in the most recent version of the service.

Best Practices

The version description should be brief and provide meaningful information about the version of the service. This could include what separates the current version of the service from the previous version. If it is the first version of a service, then the description can convey this. It may also include the date that the version of the service was released. It is also recommended that the version description provides information explaining if there are multiple versions of a service available at the same time or if there is a more recent version of the service available. This way, users can determine whether they are accessing the most appropriate version of the service for their needs.
